The FreshQuest project aimed at increasing our understanding of the technology mediated communication habits of freshman students at U.C. Berkeley. Specifically, we wanted to better understand how students adopt and use information and communication technologies, considering student's socio-economic status and social networks. The Freshquest addressed the following research questions:

The Freshquest project team is composed of students from U.C. Berkeley School of Information . Freshquest started as a Masters thesis project for Megan Finn and David Schlossberg in the Spring of 2005. Megan and Paul Polling continued the research in the Fall of 2005 and Spring of 2006.
