Who Goes There? Authentication Through the Lens of Privacy

Clinic Director Deirdre Mulligan served on the Committee on Authentication Technologies and Their Privacy Implications for the National Research Council, which published the report “Who Goes There? Authentication Through the Lens of Privacy.” The report examines authentication technologies and their effects on privacy of those being authenticated. Authentication technologies are becoming more available and it is important to understand how privacy is impacted by these technologies.

Report of the Bipartisan California Commission on Internet Political Practices

December  2003 

Clinic Director Deirdre Mulligan served as vice-chair in the Bipartisan California Commission, which put forth “Report of the Bipartisan California Commission on Internet Political Practices” in 2003. The report makes recommendations regarding online “express advocacy,” Web site costs, and treatment of “fan sites,” in addition to discussing whether current regulatory laws are appropriate for Internet political activity.
