Age - Incidence Rate

Based on information from the National Cancer Institute, age is recognized as one of the most significant risk factors for various cancer types, including some specific types of cancer. Incidence rates of cancer tend to increase progressively with age. The following visualizations provide insights into the incidence rates for different age groups, including those younger than 14, 15-39, 40-54, 55-64, 65-74, 75-84, and 85 and older.

An example interpretation of the data in this graph would be that in 2018, the average number of new cancer cases per 100,000 people in the population aged 75-84 was 1841.

Age and Sex - Incidence Rate

According to the National Cancer Institute, males generally have higher incidence rates of cancer compared to females. The chart illustrates the breakdown of incidence rates by gender in different age groups. In all age groups, except for 15-39 and 40-54, males exhibit higher incidence rates compared to females.
